3/26/2007Sunnyvale research and development bldg. nets $11M
by International real estate investment firm AMB Property Corp. purchased a 56,720 sq. foot research and development building for $11 million in Sunnyvale, Calif. on March 26.
The single-story building, located at 1320-1322 Bordeaux Dr., is part of the 1,100 acre Moffett Park Industrial Park in the Silicon Valley town of Sunnyvale, which is 11 miles Northwest of San Jose.
NAI BT represented both the AMB Property Corp. and the seller, California-based real estate investment firm Legacy Partners. The firm, located in the West Bay Area town of Foster City, purchased the building in 2006.
The building is leased to Silicon Valley startup Infinera Corp., a digital optical networks company.
As of June 30, the
AMB Property Corp. owned or had investments in projects totaling 136.7 million square feet. The company owns 1,152 buildings in 44 markets, including 117 buildings in the San Francisco Bay Area. The firm, which is headquartered in San Francisco, owns 14 buildings in the Moffet Park Industrial Park.
Legacy Partners manages a commercial and residential real estate portfolio valued at more than $6.3 billion.
