Chicago-based First Industrial Acquisitions Inc. has purchased a total of 108,000 sq. feet of industrial space in the Los Angeles South Bay town of Torrance, Calif. for $10.5 million.
First Industrial Acquisitions bought buildings at 433 Alaska Ave. and 2610-2660 Columbia St. from Art Hale Sr. Together the buildings sit on 4.8 acres.
NAI Capital represented both the buyer and the seller in the sale. The Columbia St. property is 100,000 sq. feet, while the Alaska St. property is 8,000 sq. feet.
The building at 433 Alaska Ave. houses Myer's RV, while the Columbia St. building's tenants have included Clortec Food Services, Severn Trent Service and Universal Aqua Technologies.
With headquarters in Chicago, First Industrial Acquisitions has a number of offices nationwide, including one in El Segundo, Calif. The company is the nation's largest provider of diversified industrial real estate and owns facilities in the nation's top 25 industrial markets.
