California-based real estate firm SVN Equities paid $11 million for a nine-building retail/office property in Overland Park, Kan., on July 24.
The complex, known as 95 Metcalf Square, includes a six-story office building, spans 13.54 acres and offers 151,478 square feet of retail and office space.
The complex is located at 7171 W. 95th St.
Sperry Van Ness represented SVN Equities in the purchase from CW Capital LLC, who had previously foreclosed on the property. The foreclosure followed a move by the Sprint Nextel Corp. - the buildings largest tenant - to the telecommunications company's Overland Park campus.
Colliers Turley Martin Tucker represented CW Capital LLC in the transaction.
At the time of the sale, the complex was 67 percent occupied. Tenants include Earthlink Inc., Conway & Associates LC and Marketshare Group Inc. The complex was built in 1984.
SVN Equities is based in Irvine, Calif., and owns commercial/office property in 10 states, primarily in California and Colorado.
CW Capital LLC has its national headquarters in Needham, Mass., but the full-service lender to the multifamily and commercial real estate industries has offices throughout the country.
