Carlsbad, Calif. office building sells for $10.58 million

Los Angeles based Rexford Industrial, LLC purchased a two-story, 71,536 sq. foot building in Carlsbad, Calif. for $10.58 million from Carmel Oaks Properties Inc. on June 19.

Carmel Oaks used Real Capital Markets to market the transaction.

Rick Reeder and Kent Moore of Grubb & Ellis represented both parties in the transaction.

The property, which has 17,000 sq. foot of mezzanine office, is located at 5803 Newton Dr. in the Carlsbad Research Center and sits on 4.45 acres of land. It was built in 1997 and is currently 46 percent leased to Dragon Optical and Interior Specialists.

Headquartered in Los Angeles, Rexford currently operates a portfolio valued at more than $600 million that is comprised of more than 4.7 million sq. feet of industrial real estate.
