Beacon Partners has acquired 200,000 square feet of office space in Charlotte, N.C., for $14 million from AT&T Corp.
Brad Cherry, Chase Monroe and Win Kelly of Charlotte-based
Keystone Partners represented Beacon, while John Coleman and David Bailey of Raleigh-based
Commercial Carolina represented AT&T.
The two properties include a three-story, 145,000 square foot Class A office building and a 60,000 square foot, single-story office building. The latter was used a bill processing center.
The properties sit on a 28-acre site.
Built in 1985, the primary building is located at 10101 David Taylor Dr. and contains 46,000 square feet of vacant space on the first floor.
Beacon Partners plans to invest $1.5 million in upgrades to the building and rename the property the David Taylor Corporate Center.
New York-based retirement planning service
TIAA-CREF has shown interest as a full floor tenant.
