Transwestern Investment Co. has purchased the 439,000 square foot Campanile building in Atlanta from AT&T for close to $98 million. Will Yowell, Justin Parsonnet and Jay O'Meara of CB Richard Ellis' Investment Properties Institutional Group in Atlanta represented AT&T in the transaction.

The 20-story building is located in Midtown Atlanta and is the former headquarters of BellSouth (now AT&T). Built in 1987, it's located at 1155 Peachtree St. and is 23 percent occupied due to AT&T vacating the property.

Georgia Telco Credit Union and Jackson Lewis law firm have recently signed leases for space in the building.

Yowell, Parsonnet and O'Meara are part of CBRE's Institutional Group and recently brokered the sale of the 498,602 square foot RiverEdge office portfolio and the Hurt Building in Atlanta.

Transwestern Investment Company is a principal investment firm specializing in commercial real estate.

Address: 1155 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta, Ga.

Size: 439,000 square feet

Built: 1987
