Milestone Realty Services, Inc. has purchased the Westwind Lake Village Shopping Center in West Bloomfield, Mich., from Westwind Development-Pontiac Trail LLC for $17.3 million. John Godwin, Ashish Vakhariya and Simon Jonna of Marcus & Millichap's Detroit office represented both the buyer and the seller in the transaction. The 120,573 square foot retail property was built in 1997 and is anchored by a Kroger supermarket. It was 94 percent occupied at the time of sale by tenants such as Hollywood Video, Hallmark, Fantastic Sam's and Papa John's Pizza. Vakhariya joined Marcus & Millichap's Detroit office in January 2004. He was previously Director of Investment Research for the brokerage division of Comerica Bank. Godwin joined the Marcus & Millichap Investment Brokerage Services in March 2000, and prior to his real estate career, held positions with Colliers International focusing on Investment Leasing Brokerage. Milestone Realty Services is a Royal Oak, Mich.-based professional services firm specializing in originating and managing real estate transactions and investments for pension funds, corporations, private and institutional investors.
