John M. Corcoran and Company sold its Morgan Square apartments in Springfield, Mass., for $11.2 million to
Hearn Properties Inc.Terence Scott, Richard Robinson and Travis D'Amato of
Apartment Realty Advisors represented both the buyer and the seller in the transaction.
The 266-unit property consists of 13 studio, 214 one-bedroom and 39 two-bedroom apartments housed in four, five and six-story buildings. Morgan Square was built in 1875 as a manufacturing facility but was renovated and converted into apartment homes in 1985. Also included in the property are 13 commercial spaces, all housed in three multi-story buildings.
Springfield, Mass., is roughly 90 miles west of Boston.
Apartment Realty Advisors is a privately held, full-service investment advisory brokerage firm that focuses exclusively on the multi-housing industry.
The three-man brokerage team recently completed the $124.6 million sale of the
Highlands at Dearborn in Peabody, Mass. The team represented the seller, Fairfield Residential, and procured the buyer, Denver-based Simpson Housing, in the transaction.
