10/19/2007ONCOR International Chicago finalizes sale of Macy's distribution center
by Chad King | | Minooka Ridge Building I | Macy's Inc. has purchased the Minooka Ridge Building I in Minooka, Ill., for $34.2 million from Opus North Corp.Macy's was represented by Daniel Wald of The Walker Cos. and Trevor Ragsdale of The Staubach Co. while Elise Couston, Edward Wabick and Margaret Guzek of Paine/Wetzel ONCOR International represented the seller. The 861,438 square foot distribution facility is located at 600 Mid Point Rd., in the Minooka Ridge Business Park. It was built on 48.5 acres and is expected to open in Spring 2008. Macy's Logistics and Operations Division will operate in the facility and expects to employ 210 full- and part-time employees. The Minooka Ridge II distribution center will be situated on 52.4 acres and will total 965,183 square feet. David Kahnweiler and James Estus of Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler will represent Opus North in the marketing of Minooka Ridge II. Minooka is located approximately 50 miles southwest of Chicago.
