Michigan-based
Cooper Standard Automotive's Auburn Hills, Mich., headquarters has sold to a private Los Angles equity investment group for $19 million as part of a 1031 exchange.
John Godwin of
Marcus & Millichap's Detroit office represented the seller, a private Midwest real estate investor.
The 103,822 square foot industrial building serves as Cooper Automotive's fluid systems headquarters. The two-story building was built in 2002 on 9.74 acres. It was remodeled in 2007 and was purchased for $183 per square foot.
Auburn Hills is located about 30 miles north of Detroit.
Godwin joined the Marcus & Millichap Investment Brokerage Services in March 2000, and prior to his real estate career, held positions with Colliers International focusing on Investment Leasing Brokerage. He recently brokered the sale of a
120,573 square foot retail property in West Bloomfield, Mich., for $17.3 million.
