Staubach negotiates $21 million retail sale

Highland Station Shopping Center
Principal Financial has sold the Highland Station Shopping Center in the Atlanta suburb of Smyrna, Ga., for $21.67 million to TA Associates.

Jim Hamilton and Kevin Hurley of The Staubach Co. represented Principal Financial while TA was self-represented.

The 95,257 square foot property was built in 2000 on 12.29 acres. According to Hamilton, it is currently 100 percent occupied and came with a 5.95 capitalization rate.

Smyrna is located roughly 16 miles north of Atlanta.

Hamilton and Hurley joined Staubach in January as their employer, Trammell Crow, was being acquired by CB Richard Ellis. The two were members of Trammell Crow's East Coast retail investment team and now specialize in the acquisition and disposition of retail properties in Staubach's Atlanta office. They both earned their B.S. in Business Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Address: 4480 S. Cobb Drive, Smyrna, Ga.

Size: 95,257 square feet

Built: 2000
