Alabama retail center brings $10M

A joint venture between RBP LLC and Engel Realty Co. has acquired the Allison Bonnett Plaza in Bessemer, Ala., for $10 million from Hueytown Developers LLC.

Engel's Steve Butler represented the buyers while Van Barron of BridgePointe Advisors represented Hueytown.

The 61,397 square foot retail center is situated on 3.5 acres and is anchored by Publix. RBP recently sold the Riverchase Business Park in Hoover for $11.9 million, a deal brokered by Butler.

Bessemer is located approximately 15 miles south of Birmingham.

Barron, a managing partner with BridgePointe, is a former managing director for CB Richard Ellis and investment manager for MetLife. He is a graduate of Georgia State University and is a contributing editor for Shopping Center Business magazine's Capital Markets Review.
