Grubb & Ellis completes sale of Orlando office building

8390 ChampionsGate Blvd.

Santa Fe, N.M.-based BGK Group has purchased the ChampionsGate office building in Orlando, Fla., for an undisclosed price from Houston, Texas-based RIDA Associates.

Joe Rossi and Bret Felberg of Grubb & Ellis handled the negotiations for RIDA.

The 44,605 square foot office property is located within the 1,500 acre ChampionsGate resort at 8390 ChampionsGate Blvd. and was 100 percent leased at the time of sale.

The ChampionsGate resort is being developed by RIDA and is expected to include 4,136 hotel rooms, 2,578 residential units including 1,636 resort villas and apartments, 54 holes of golf, time-share accommodations, 98,000 square feet of office space and 349,000 square feet of retail space.

Rossi is a senior VP with Grubb & Ellis and specializes in investment properties. Prior to joining the company in 2004, he was a manager with St. Joe Commercial. He earned his B.A. in Business Administration from the University of North Florida.
