12/4/2007SVN brokers sale $11.2 sale of Colorado retail center
by Boulder, Colo.-based Sunrise Partners, LLC has acquired the Sunrise Village Shopping Center in Thornton for $11.2 million from Colorado Springs-based Sunrise Plaza, LLC.
Navid Saidi of Medoc Properties represented Sunrise Partners, who was in a 1031 exchange, while the seller was represented by
Dean Corey, Troy Meyer and Suni Devitt of
Sperry Van Ness' Denver office.
The retail property was built in 1979, renovated in 2005 and is located at 9051-9191 Washington St. It is situated on 9.18 acres and was 92 percent occupied at the time of sale to tenants including Dollar Tree, Fashion Mart, Mi Pueblo and ARC Thrift Stores.
Corey is a managing director at SVN and has been with the company since 2004. He is a former investment advisor with Trammell Crow, Grubb & Ellis and Coldwell Banker Commercial. Corey is a graduate of Michigan State University.
Meyer is an associate advisor and has a background in information systems and commercial real estate. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado's Leeds School of Business.
Thornton is located 10 miles north of Denver and has a population of 105,182, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
