Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce building brings over $20M

Apex Realty Advisors, LLC has purchased the Chamber of Commerce building in Pittsburgh, Pa., for more than $20 million from 411 7th Ave. Associates, LP.

Apex was represented by James Sheinberg of Hill Cleary & Associates while Jim Kelly, Gerry McLaughlin and Jeffrey Schultz of Grubb & Ellis handled the negotiations for the seller.

The property is located at 411 7th Ave. and contains 322,210 square feet. Built in 1916 and renovated in 1994, it is currently 91 percent occupied by Duquesne Light, a Southwestern Pennsylvania energy provider.

McLaughlin is a senior VP with Grubb & Ellis and has been with the company for 30 years. He specializes in office properties in Pittsburgh's central business district and is a graduate of Duquesne University.
