Los Angeles, Calif.-based
The Mindlin Companies, LLC has acquired the Woodview Office Tower in Dallas, Texas for an undisclosed amount from Boston, Mass.-based
TA Realty.
Scot Farber and Tom Strohbehn of
Grubb & Ellis represented both parties in the deal.
The 13-story tower was built in 1982 and later renovated in 1997. It contains 195,587 square feet and is located at 1349 Empire Central in the Stemmons Freeway submarket. It was 48 percent occupied at the time of sale. Mindlin plans to invest in upgrades to the building's systems.
Beall Carothers and Dawn Williamson of Darby Real Estate Advisors, a Mindlin subsidiary, have been hired to lease and manage the building.
Financing for the acquisition was provided by Kirk Malmrose of
TriSail Capital Corp., a division of Bank of America.
Farber is a senior VP with Grubb & Ellis and has been with the company since 2002. Prior to that, he was an employee with Credit Suisse First Boston, Jones Lang LaSalle, Cushman Realty Corporation and Koll Investment Management. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas at Dallas.
