1/16/2008Hampshire acquires Professional Center in the Bronx

Morristown, N.J.-based real estate investment firm The Hampshire Companies acquired two buildings known as the Pelham Bay Professional Center at 3250 Westchester Ave. in the Bronx, N.Y., totaling 80,100 square feet from Pelbay Associates, Inc. The price of the deal was not disclosed. The properties were acquired on behalf of Hampshire Partners Fund VII, a $350 million institutional real estate investment fund. The deal included a 59,100 medical office building and a 21,000 square feet retail property. Among retail tenants are Subway, Baskin Robbins, CVS, and Dunkin Donuts. On the medical side, Doshi Diagnostic imaging centers and SurgiCare Ambulatory Surgery Center of New York are listed as tenants. The Hampshire Companies is a privately held real estate investment firm. The company currently owns and operates 224 industrial, retail and office assets as well as other properties in 31 states.
