Regent University sells 28,000 sf office building for $10M

The American Academy of Otolaryngology (AAO) has purchased a 28,045 square feet office building in Alexandria, Va., for $10.19 million from Virginia Beach-based Regent University.

GVA Advantis' Brian Ball and Don Crigger handled the negotiations for Regent. Manny Fitzgerald of CB Richard Ellis represented AAO.

The five-story building is located at 1650 Diagonal Rd. and was built in 2001. It will serve as AAO's new headquarters. AAO is one of the oldest medical associations in the nation and represents physicians and allied health professionals.

Fitzgerald is a senior vice president with CBRE and the national director of the company's Nonprofit Practice Group. He joined CBRE in 2003 as a result of a merger with Insignia/ESG, where he'd been since 1999. His involvement in the sale of the Old Masonic Temple at 901 F Street NW won the Washington Business Journal's "Deal of the Year" award.

Address: 1650 Diagonal Rd., Alexandria, Va.

Size: 28,045 square feet

Built: 2001
