1/25/2008Cornerstone pays $48M for Gateway Corporate Center

Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers has purchased the Gateway Corporate Center in Diamond Bar, Calif., for $48.5 million from New York City-based
Falcon Real Estate Investment Company.
Jeffrey Cole and Ron Heim of
Cushman & Wakefield's Orange County and Inland Empire offices represented Falcon Real Estate in the transaction.
The Gateway Corporate Center contains two, three-story buildings at 21680 and 21688 Gateway Center Dr. Built in 2000, the buildings contain 162,326 square feet and are 99 percent leased to tenants such as Travelers Insurance and Wells Fargo.
Cole is an executive director with Cushman & Wakefield's Capital Markets Group. He specializes in institutional office sales and leasing and is a former co-director of Trammell Crow Company's Southern California Investment Services Group. Cole received his B.S. in Business from the University of Southern California and has since taught real estate graduate and extension courses at the school.
Heim is a brokerage salesperson with Cushman & Wakefield's Ontario office where he specializes in suburban office markets. He is a former sales and marketing specialist with three major Fortune 500 firms. Heim is a graduate of Cal State Los Angeles and is a current member of the board of directors for the American Red Cross.
Diamond Bar is located roughly 26 miles east of Los Angeles and has a population of 56,287.
