The Connor Group has acquired The Stratford Apartments in the Atlanta, Ga. suburb of Sandy Springs, for $28.5 million from Dallas-based
Invesco Real Estate.
Derrick Bloom, John Weber and Sean Henry of
Apartment Realty Advisors brokered the deal on behalf of Invesco.
The 269-unit multi-family complex is located at 5479 Glenridge Drive NE in Sandy Springs, about 16 miles north of Atlanta. Built in 1990, it was 90 percent occupied at the time of sale and has been owned by Invesco since 1991.
The transaction represents the second acquisition this year in which ARA has represented The Connor Group. In January,
Debbie Corson brokered the $23 million sale of
the Charleston at Blue Ash Apartments. The Connor group entered the Atlanta market in 2003 and owns 13 apartment communities in the region.
Bloom, Weber and Henry recently arranged the $33.25 million sale of
Waterford Place at Mount Zion in Stockbridge. The three represented Denver-based Simpson Housing in the deal.
Founded in 1991, The Connor Group owns 44 apartment communities in Atlanta, Dallas, Raleigh, N.C., Cincinnati, Columbus and Dayton, Ohio, with a portfolio asset base of more than $1 billion.
