3/21/2008Marcus & Millichap sells Richmond retail center for $17M
by Bond Companies, a Chicago, Ill.-based mixed-use developer, has purchased the Beaufont Center, a shopping center in Richmond, Va., for $17 million from GSC/Jon Perel. Mike Dillon, Michael Early and Matthew Greenspon of Marcus & Millichap represented both parties in the transaction. Thalhimer/Cushman & Wakefield have been hired to serve as the property manager and leasing agent. The retail center spans 314,898 square feet and contains a mixture of large, midsize and small shops including BK Music, Dollar Tree and Wachovia Bank. It is situated on 47.2 acres at 5401 Midlothian Turnpike. Global shipping concern UPS occupies over half of the center with 169,876 square feet leased.
