Morris Cos. sells New Jersey warehouse facility

Rutherford, N.J.-based The Morris Companies has sold a warehouse property in Clifton, N.J., to an unnamed buyer, reportedly New Jersey's largest independent food service company.

Stephen Elman, Stan Danzig and Noah Balanoff of Cushman & Wakefield marketed and sold the property on behalf of the seller. Brian Scheuer of Chaus Realty, LLC represented the buyer.

The building is located at 174 Delawanna Ave., and contains 217,139 square feet. Developed by The Morris Cos. in 2003, the building represents an expansion and consolidation for the buyer, which is the food distribution company for the New York City school system.
