3/26/2008Trammell Crow acquires 104 acres in Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center
by Trammell Crow Company has acquired 104 acres of land within the
Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center in McCarran, Nev., on behalf of
Multi-Employer Property Trust (MEPT), a commingled real estate equity fund.
The Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center, advertised as the world's largest industrial center, is located eight miles east of Reno/Sparks at 2550 Waltham Way. Phase One of the property contains 6,000 acres and is currently occupied by tenants such as Wal-Mart, Royal Sierra Extrusions, APL Logistics, ALCOA Sierra Micromill, Duraflex and Hardie Building Products, a manufacturer of concrete board used under tile and other masonry work.
In December 2007, MEPT purchased two bulk distribution buildings totaling more than 800,000 square feet in the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center.
