Tribune sells two Connecticut office buildings for $30M


Norwalk, Conn.-based Summit Development, LLC has purchased two office buildings in Stamford and Greenwich for $30 million from the Tribune Company.

Greg Frisoli, Betcy Vincent, Michael DeSantis and Jim Fagan of Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller and procured the buyer.

The three-story building in Stamford contains nearly 90,000 square feet and was the home of the Stamford Advocate newspaper. Built in 1981, it is located at 75 Tresser Blvd. and is situated on 3.2 acres. The Greenwich building, which currently houses the Greenwich Time newspaper, contains 20,000 square feet. It was built in 1926 and sits on .37 acres.

Tribune Company sold both newspapers to the Hearst Corporation in November 2007. The Advocate newspaper moved out of the building in February and the Greenwich Time will relocate to Old Greenwich shortly.

Frisoli is a senior director with Cushman & Wakefield and has been with the firm for 13 years. He was named a part of "Rising Stars - Westchester's Forty Under Forty" by the Business Council of Westchester. He is a graduate of Cornell University and NYU-Stern School of Business.

Fagan is the senior managing director of Cushman & Wakefield's Stamford, White Plains and Long Island offices. He is the former senior managing director of CB Richard Ellis where he oversaw the firm's operations in the New York metropolitan region. Fagan is a graduate of the University of Connecticut.
