Japanese firm pays $76M for D.C. office building


Sumitomo Corporation, a Japanese investment firm, has purchased an office building in downtown Washington, D.C., for $76 million from locally-based Bernstein Companies.

Jim Meisel, Dek Potts and Andrew Pulliam of Holliday Fenoglio Fowler represented Bernstein in the deal.

The 12-story building is located at 1750 K Street NW, three blocks from the White House in the "Golden Triangle" Business Improvement District. It contains 152,470 square feet and is currently 100 percent occupied by six tenants.
