Grubb & Ellis purchases suburban Chicago bank building


Grubb & Ellis Realty Investors, LLC has acquired a Fifth Third Bank building in Schaumburg, Ill., from JBAS, LLC.

The seller was represented by Nathan Martin from Staubach Capital Partners.

The building is located at 2580 W. Schaumburg Rd. and is 100 percent occupied on a long-term lease to Fifth Third Bank. The one-story building is situated on one acre of land and contains 4,000 square feet.

Grubb & Ellis has made numerous acquisitions in 2008 for its newly launched Wealth Management Program, including a Fifth Third Bank building in Montgomery, Ill., a CVS Pharmacy building in Decatur, Ga., and a two-building portfolio in Carpentersville and Northlake, Ill.
