Richard Purtell has been named chairman and chief elected officer of the
Building Owners and Managers Association International (BOMA).
Purtell is currently an employee of Grubb & Ellis Management Services. He joined Triple Net Properties in 2006 and transitioned to Grubb & Ellis after the two companies merged in 2007. He is a former vice president with The Andalex Group and spent five years as a vice president with Lowe Enterprises Midwest, Inc.
The Ohio State University graduate has a bachelor's degree in business administration.
BOMA is a 17,000-member international federation of local associations and affiliated organizations. The group's members own or manage more than nine billion square feet of commercial properties in North America and abroad.
