Centro Properties expands Connecticut holdings

New York-based Centro Properties has sold the Charter Oak Marketplace in Hartford, Conn., for $19.25 million to a New Jersey-based shopping center REIT.

Sharon Bands of Marcus & Millichap's Manhattan office marketed the property and handled the negotiations for Centro.

Charter Oak is located at 475 Flatbush Ave. and sold for $74 per square foot. Built in 2004, it contains 259,056 square feet and is situated on a 34.37-acre lot.

Bands has been with Marcus & Millichap since 2000 and has completed investment transactions valued at $418 million. She was appointed VP of investments in 2008.
