L.A. self storage property sells for $8.6 million

Firestone Self Storage in South Gate, Calif., has been sold by Granite Investment Group to Nova Development of Los Angeles for $8.6 million.

Grubb & Ellis|BRE Commercial represented both parties in the transaction.

The property at 5951 Firestone Blvd., contains 91,594 rentable square feet, 82 outside RV/boat parking spaces and was approximately 85 percent occupied at the closing. South Gate is a densely populated area of Los Angeles County with a five-mile population exceeding 900,000.
