Carefree, Ariz., resort hits the market

Marcus & Millichap has been hired to market and sell a 19.59-acre hotel and resort in Carefree, Ariz.

Richard Ehmer, first vice president investments and a director of the firm's National Hospitality Group in San Francisco, along with Richard Glinski and Jacob Steele, both associate directors of the Special Assets Group in the firm's Denver office, are representing the seller.

Known as Carefree Resort and Villas, the property is located at 37220 Mule Train Rd. and features 146 standard guestrooms, 35 casitas, three swimming pools, conference facilities and a botanical garden. Originally constructed in 1963, the Carefree Resort and Villas hotel was renovated in 1996, with additional space coming in 1998, 1999, 2007 and 2008.
