Trust purchases two Carlsbad apartment communities

The Glenn L. Goldman Family Trust has purchased two Carlsbad, Calif., apartment complexes from the Barker Family Trust.

The sales of the nine-unit Oak Villa Apartments at 3095 Harding St. and 13-unit Jefferson Apartments at 3110-3132 Jefferson St. were handled by Hendricks & Partners on behalf of both the buyer and the seller.

Oak Villa, which sold for $1.34 million, is comprised of three studio units and six two-bedroom units. Jefferson Apartments includes one studio unit, eight one-bedroom apartments and four two-bedroom units.

The buyer is planning to upgrade both properties in order to raise rents and take advantage of the strong Carlsbad rental market.
